To raise awareness and encourage people to make the switch from old, incandescent energy-guzzling holiday lights to Power Smart seasonal LED lights, a unique interactive holiday tree is currently on display at the Sears at Pacific Centre in Vancouver. The tree is connected to a custom developed Facebook application, accessible by desktop or iPhone and responds to “likes” on Facebook. When the user selects a light on the online Facebook tree, the physical holiday tree instantly displays a custom LED light pattern. Every person who “Likes up the Holidays” stands a 1 in 20 chance to win a Sears gift card. Big winners take home a $500 Sears gift card. The campaign is in market until the December 15th. Be sure to check it out in person or visit the BC Hydro Facebook Page and Like up the Holidays.
