With a passion for business and a desire to do things differently, Alan co-founded smak in September of 2003. As Director of Ideas and Innovation, Alan oversees all business processes and has navigated smak to steady growth through strategic and creative methods. With offices in both Vancouver and Toronto, he has worked with some of Canada’s top ad shops including Rethink, Leo Burnett, DDB, TAXI and CP+B. Entrepreneurial ideas keep Alan awake at night and he looks forward to smak’s continued growth and expanding the smak brand beyond the advertising industry.

After holding various marketing roles in both her native South Africa and in Vancouver, Claire Lamont saw an opportunity to deliver truly ground-breaking experiential campaigns. In 2003, Claire cofounded smak with partner Alan Bedingfield. Claire has directed the agency's experiential forces in developing award winning and attention grabbing activations for its clients. With a focus on delivering this keen innovation to the Canadian marketing industry, Claire has led cutting-edge experiential efforts for clients such as Koodo Mobile, Nando's, Future Shop, BC Hydro and Whitecaps.
